2016年8月、追加種目決定の記者会見で笹川会長は
次の目標は6月の理事会と語っていた。
6/9、しかしそのIOC理事会で空手が2024オリンピックの正式競技にならないことが決まりました
リオと変更無し
追加種目は未定
